Stephan Ryll
Gents you're welcome 🙂
@Tim - to fit the Pilot to the cockpit you have to remove the pedals - the legs are to long 🙂
8 February 2016, 18:51
Tim van Dooremalen
Thanks! good to know beforehand 😉
8 February 2016, 18:53
Stephan Ryll
you also have to modify the pilot a Little bit - you can't fit him into the cockpit when it's glued to the hull
8 February 2016, 19:02
Clifford Keesler
Looking very nice.

Stephan Ryll
I've added the pilot to the cockpit-seatbelts are attached 🙂
12 February 2016, 21:11
Thomas Bischoff
great work and nice pilot - the goggles are not yet convincing me, maybe some clear gloss would improve it?
13 February 2016, 13:08
Choppa Nutta
that pilot does look good, you've achieved a very natural finish to him 🙂
13 February 2016, 16:23
Stephan Ryll
Thank you mates that you like the pilot🙂
@ Thomas - I will put some clear glass coat on top before I finish the bird
@ Choppa - the flesh tone is always a thing that drives me crazy - I mix up to four colours to come to an convinincing result
13 February 2016, 17:38
arne vd burg

Your pilot looks very realistic, he will add much to the aircraft. I used to love doing pilots, but once I got into the Photo-etch, I just stopped doing them.
15 February 2016, 21:51
Greco Otero
I am with the rest of the guys... love the pilot excellent work with the plane too.,

quite a good kit to build - I had no issues so far - exception some PE parts "escaped" and the main antenna got broken during a crash landing
hope you like it

Choppa Nutta
...... really nicely done Stephan ! 🙂
Got any photos of the whole plane as all the photos are a bit of a close up,
good photos as they are but it is always nice to see the whole model within
the frame of the photo, I wanted to see which rudder option you went for etc.

Cheers 🙂

So cool, the pilot is well done... And it really adds to the scale, such a cramped little cockpit on the spitfire...
7 March 2016, 12:25
Stephan Ryll
Thank you Mark - a cockpit for small pilots😉

@Choppa - pics are there 🙂
7 March 2016, 15:52

My last two Spitfires were a bit of a derelict mess, next one is going to be a cleaner attempt,
I've got loads of them waiting in the stash😉
7 March 2016, 19:32

7 March 2016, 20:33
Choppa Nutta
don't have a Hurricane or a Mossy as yet, missed out on a bid for the Mossy, still got a bunch of other classics, Harriers, Me109's, FW190's, F4U etc. etc. etc. 🙂
7 March 2016, 20:48
Stephan Ryll
I was used to have them - I calculated that I'm finished with my stash 2023😉😉

I use the models to calm down from work - and the musik to free the mind
7 March 2016, 20:52
Choppa Nutta
I use both those for therapy haha 😄

7 March 2016, 20:56
