For reference - here's a 1969 advertisement from a Canadian trucking publication showing a very close example of the trailer that AMT based the kit on. The tanker wasn't an overly popular style and spotting one in the wild is always interesting.
Here's a mostly box-stock AMT Fruehauf tanker trailer painted with Revell Chrome Spray Paint from the can over primer and a previous coat of Duplicolor silver. My original plan was to create a dull finish working trailer, but at the last minute I thought I try the Revell Chrome spray paint.
In these photos the decal stripes aren't fully snuggled down over the ribbing detail on the tank body, I didn't want to use any decal setting solution over the Chrome Spray for fear of causing damage to the finish.
