Sy BarNot enjoying this kit. When I choose to do this I wanted it to be in flight then discovered that not an option and no pilot. So making it up as I go by hacking kit and coping other pilots from Airfix kit.
No sure it's all the kits fault but I'm just fighting it all the time, the tail was a bad fit but at least the wings went ok

David TaylorThats the thing now Sy,all kits now are designed with wheels down and no option for flight.I have a few 48 Harriers and not one has a flight configuration

Sy BarThis is now officially a try stuff out kit as it can only be viewed from a distance with blurred vision.
I cut the canopy off it's form to early as ever to seal cockpit so can get paint on to hide my bad modelling and I think it's too thin to survive.
Let's hope the paint job hides the sins

Sy BarDecal'd and an attempt to tone them down, not quite what I was hopping for but it'll do. At some point I'll have to remove the masking but it's been on so Lind I'm not hopeful of a good result and I actuall like the dark canopy look 😁
On to the finishing bits

David TaylorThere are pics showing the Harriers had all inspection panels on the wings sealed to prevent water ingress.I did my harrier with EDSG which seems to replicate this.

OOB with masks build is a Harrier GR3 as taken part in the 1982 Falklands Conflict.
I hope to make my own aircraft codes ( ZX963 ) the aircraft shot by small arms fire and which it's pilot Sqn Ldr Jerry Pook had to ditch, as I worked with him on the Harrier simulator in the 1990's
I may or may not use the PE
