Oh I'm on this like a fat girl on cake 😉
I love the H1's, H2's, Z9's, they were my childhood bedroom posters!
I had a KH250 & 400 in my teens, not as cool but I was proper skint

Nice that it has a strong sentimental attachment for you, a great reason to build it, much respect😉

Cancer is such a nasty way to go, he was only 69 years old. My friend for 45 years.

Norm, I am saddened to hear you lost a friend but very happy you have an H2 for the build. I was friends with Gregg Hansford who we lost back in 96 at Philip Island. I want to build many of his bikes but have only found the KR500 which finished his bike racing career and a 1/9scale Protar KR 350 which he finished 2nd and 3rd in the World Championships in 78 and 79. I watched and helped Gregg in the pits in the early days of production racing an H2 at Surfers Paradise International Raceway. I guess I am jealous of the kit but not of why you are building it. Can I ask that you supply a horde of pics during the build please, I want to follow this very closely, as a tribute to my friend. His bike was the blue too!

Absolutely Peter. I was a racer myself in 125GP in Canada and the US. I saw Gregg race several times on the 250 and the KR750 in 1977ish. He was a very smooth and fast rider. I will be documenting the build and posting it here. If you have a Facebook page I would "Friend" you and stay in touch there too. I'll do a search. Are you a friend of Lawrence Hacking?

Norm, yes cancer is a bastard, everybody I know has been affected by it at some point, my old mum is terminally ill with it, mates have died from it.
I'm sure you'll do Steve proud 😉

Peter, I'm in awe of your bike racing knowledge, you proper know stuff, those KR's were the things of legend back in the day, especially in Europe with riders like Korky Ballingtonb & Mick Grant.
Saturday mornings my mates were watching the Banana Splitz & I was watching the Transatlantic Trophy
