Just an excellent topic, proper scale, will follow this one for sure!

I'm enjoying the extra detail work, the scale is big enough to make it fun!

This is looking nice for sure. May I ask what the technical problem was with lighting?
18. March at 16:31:01
I put 5 micro LEDs in the model and when I hooked up all the wiring I accidentally applied 9V and burned some out. I'm going to do another project with lights down the road. Just a 64 year old brain fart issue. Bummed myself out!
19. March at 14:19:10
Yup, those brain farts just sneak up on you, the foul gaseous mixture builds up in the frontal cortex until the pressure is too great and POOF, you screw something up totally!

Thanks, I enjoyed building it too. It is at my dentist's office now. He was very impressed!
9. January at 21:22:10
Once I got started on it, I found that I could really sink my teeth into it! Lol.

if I had the nerve I would try to make one myself but, tooth be told, I'd only gum it up.

By the looks of it those clever Russkies used the same canopy on the Su-15TM as on the Su-7. Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced my Soviet Aircraft Replacement Parts Manuals, so I can't verify it right at the moment.

Gulp! I have a Trumpeter 1:72 Su-15 in the 'stash' somewhere (admittedly it's a UM version and the Pavla cockpit set that I also have does not contain a replacement vac-form canopy). Bernhard may have a point (which I regret I cannot support with my own evidence as I am not totally certain of its location...'I've built a Monster!'...of a stash that is!!). Have a good New Year all!!!

I just did an SU 15 a couple months ago. It didnt occur to me that might be the canopy as the one I did did not have the bubble in it. But it was a crappy kit, so who knows if its correct. And my knowledge of Soviet/Russsian stuff is about nil. This is mine: SU-21/15 | Album by smokeriderdon (1:72)

This bladder is a periscope, a rearview mirror that only the Su-15TM had. The Su-15A did not have that.
