This is exactly, what I'm going to do, after I finished my Polizei Beetle of the same kit! I have an 1968 1500 Beetle and see exactly the same work to do. Furtheron I had one Beetle the same body style and color like your model kit - pretty 🙂 My Beetle is beige😉

It probably could be right: I had a 1968 Beetle painted in Lotuswhite. It's Fender welting were also white. Even a 1303 of mine had them in blue nearly the body color. My 1968 Beetle had them black.

Album info

The Idea was to reproduce a VW Beetle my father used to have, which bring me until today lots of good memories from my childhood! I did not find any similar Kit that exactly reproduces that Beetle, so I build it using to two different kits from Revell. That enabled me to find most of the parts, taking them from one kit or from the other. The result came very near to the original car from my father.
