About me:
Journeyman modeller, mainly 1:72 WWII aircraft and 1:700 ships (not a stickler for absolute accuracy nor dogmatic about scale or era).

Favourite kit: 1:48 Tamiya Bristol Beaufighter (told you I wasn't dogmatic on scale).
Also very much enjoyed new-tool Airfix 1:72 Boulton-Paul Defiant, 1:72 Messerschmit Bf110, and Mitsubishi Dinah. Soft-spot for the Handley-Page Hampden and the Fairey Battle.
Ancient mould (1959?!) Airfix Short Sunderland - love the plane, swore at the kit a lot. Hasegawa limited edition JASDF MV-22 Osprey that I bought in Japan was a 'mare too, but probably because I went over-board with photo-etch and extras.
My daughter Martha builds aircraft (predominately modern jets and egg planes) and cars, and continues to expand a huge 1:72 diorama (bridge, coastal defence forts, tanks, buildings...) that is squatting on our dining room table.
Built a brilliant 1:700 USS Essex with Martha, complete with tiny photo-etch crew, dioramas on the hangar deck, and extra (not entirely historically accurate) aircraft.
