Clifford Keesler Nice project Dan. Looking good. How is the kit?
1. July at 22:54:16
Dan Cook The kit is ok. Flash and fit interesting at points. The nose is interesting not the greatest. Was going to do the engine. But, started building and then gave up as the parts just did not fit with mismolds etc. I have recently built the new P-40 and had similar problems. It could be a stunner just Airfix do not quite have the quality control that their rivals do. 7/10.

Clifford Keesler That kind of stinks. I have been eyeing that one.

Dan Cook It's worth building. It will look good. Just needs some tender loving care!

Jim J Looking great so far. Disappointing to hear about the issues with the kit. Airfix has had some interesting recent releases.

Spanjaard what happened?
14. October at 18:55:25
Dan Cook I put oils on before decals. Like a moron! Decals peeled off so I wanted to smash up. So will strip them another day. Complete idiot!
14. October at 19:47:28
Thomas Bischoff too bad! So the plan is to strip the decals and apply a coat of gloss coat over the oils? .. and then decals again?
Would be a shame to trash the nice work

Spanjaard give it a few days to forget about it and come back to it... result will be really good at the end
14. October at 21:02:48
Dan Cook That's what I am doing! Just so stupid!
14. October at 21:19:58
Spanjaard take it as a learning curve ;) be positive (we all have been with the fist high ready to smash it at one point or another.....)
