Do you happen to know of any really good reference material for the StuG III ?

Thanks for shareing Gabor.
I remember the IWM "lacking a bit in detail". Not all their exhibtis have accompanying text or even a sign, some suffer from detail problems (we´ll see that esp. on their T-34). But it´s a great museum esp. if you consider it´s free of charge.
@Kerry: Which Stug III?

Fabian. G'day mate !. I am currently building the Dragon 1/35 StuG .III Ausf .G Mid-Late '39-'45 and as I am scooting around looking at the Google 'images' of the StuG, I am seeing all kinds of stuff that the crews have done to them and as I would like to replicate this as best I can, I am after the general "ware and tare" look, like chipped and heavily used road wheels and stuff like that. So, I am wondering is there much about that you know of please ?

This one? StuG.III Ausf. G (Cyber Hobby 6412, 1:35)
To be honest, although I have this kit, I haven´t spend a second thinking about how to use it.
The rack on the engine Deck was often stuffed with ... stuff. Boxes, crates, tarps, etc. Some StuG units "personalized" thier vehicles, rearraging parts of the tools, adding extras here and there. What I tend to do is, pick one or a series of pictures and receate what you can see there.

Fabian, Thanks for your link mate, I also have noticed the "personalization" you mentioned and along with my extra detailing, I will be a project that will give me a lot of pleasure. Cheers 🙂

Kerry@ Thanks. I made these pictures last weekend. For walkaround I usually try armorama, they have some but unfortunately I don't know if there 's some pictures from a stug.

Great stuff Gabor!
Always interesting to see the casting and welding quality of that time. But this Sherman acutally looks pretty good compared to many Russian tanks you can see on pictures.
