This is an OLD kit. After the success I had with the ICM G4 German Staff car, I saw this at a swap meet and 'just HAD to have it.'. Tons of BMF to find it's way there.

James C I was really surprised to see this at a swap meet, and sitting on top of it at the table was a 1/16 Toyota 2000 Gt for 150 and nearly bought it, then I went back 30 seconds after the selling started and it was gone, then, I saw the Packard and just had to have it...............................$75 Au .🙂 Yes, BIG it is at 1/16, and fantastic detail for an old kit too. 👍

I love that! I had a 1/16 Dusenberg SJ about 40 years ago wish I knew where it went.
How old is this one? Mid 60's?

Munkeymoll, from what I can gather from a "Google" search, this is one of the very first of, and many others like it, that Bandai put out for 'Entex', a yank company in California in the mid 70's. !
And as Packard only stopped making the actual car in 1962, it is still quite a popular car for those who collect the real thing. 🙂
I will post close up images of the parts when I crack the sealed bags it comes in, as I don't want to do that until the actual build takes place. 👍
So until then, I will be pouring over the instructions and bag contents getting a good idea and plan of attack. 👍
There are heaps of images of the real beast on 'Images'. so reference imagery is readily available.

Augie, I will look for a set of the handles you describe. 🙂 But don't worry, I am a most cautious and considerate driver. 😉 👍

And Mr Greathouse, I am pleased your along for the ride too.🙂 👍

Album info

This is the 1/16 scale 1970 model from Bandai of the 'American Rolls Royce'.
All pretty chunky and lots of seam lines and flash. But that is the challenge.
