Yep, and an S-3 tail. The nose has been modified since these pictures were taken. Will upload some new ones soon.

I see it's loaded with Sidewinder and Sparrow missiles, also the cockpit looks different - who knows what could have been if it hadn't been cancelled?

Is that a matchbox F.3 Tornado nose grafted on to the TSR.2? interesting....

I actually used an Airfix Tornado nose as I recall 🙂 The now looks more RF-ish now.

No 1 or No 6 Sqn markings? Is that 1:48 F-18 u/c? Seems that an SR(M) with such beefed up u/s should have a Pave Tack pod and PGMs rather than AAMs. Certainly a couple of AAMs is appropriate, but do you have any "real" ordnance planned?

So far, my only planned "Whiffie" is an old FROG 1/72 AVRO Shackleton MR.3. Kit decals are garbage, so it's going to be either Aussie or Kiwi. Or possibly Canadian, if I can find enough lightning bolt stripe.

Dutch, I was thinking this would be a 10 or 11SQN machine optimised for Maritime Strike, so it would carry, Harpoon, navalised version of SLAM-ER and mines. The u/c is from the kit with some mods modeled on the BAC Jaguar config. I really need to get back to this one I think 😄

Hmm.. Assuming the TSR-2s were bought new, that would be quite a switch from P2V-7s to TSR-2s for Nos 10 & 11 Sqn. Carry on!

Looks like a Tornado F.3 nose, canopy & wing tanks.

Haven't touched it in some time, I might have a build what is on the shelf for the rest of the year to clear some queens.

Ray, I am with you there brother! I have several shelf queens crowding everything else out right now. I do have one tribute Tonka build for a friend in the UK whose father is dying of cancer. I may go to old Blighty in Aug, so will have to move pretty quickly on that one, before getting back to the shelf queens. No rush, just curious.

Thanks Dutch, I have just removed said model from the 'shelf' and am looking at what is left to do.

Album info

Well not strictly a straight TSR2 build. I am modernising it a 'little'. It will be an Australian Aircraft Consortium (AAC) SR(M)-2 (Strike Recce (Maritime)). Can you figure what other kits have gone into this yet? Also reconfiguring some other parts 🙂
