I've made the robots that came wi5 the hovercraft. First time using oils for washes and panel lines after gloss spraying the models. Very happy with the result though I have much to learn. Thinking about a diorama with the hovercraft and lots of little robots milling around it.

Most of the truck is put together though I haven’t glued the bed on, and may not bother! Good looking vehicle. Wondering how much touching up and weathering to do.

Doing a Hasegawa Lambo for the #italiagb group build on Bluesky's #scalemodels community.
An exercise in diluting paint more, and being more careful with compressor settings!
This is the best finish I've had on a car so far, multiple thin coats, each one sanded down with 3000 and 5000 grade paper. Plus a gloss coat. No screw ups yet! Very pleased, still a few bits of mild orange peel but this will do for me.
This is my first Hasegawa kit, I have to say I'm quite impressed so far, very nicely put together.

Paul EdenLooking forward to this. I was very tempted by the MiniArt version but was put off by comments about fit. Tamiya should go together better. This will be my first pre-order!

The other important advantage Tamiya kit has is there is no need to use superglue for most of their kits because with superglue, there is a need to absolutely ensure the surfaces are clean or white marks in the form of revealed fingerprints will appear once the two surfaces are joined.

Yeah that's bullshit- the Miniart kit has zero fit issues and is a better kit than the Tamiya one- I've built four of them and love them. Then again- Miniart separates the Men from the Boys

The Panzer is done and I'm very happy with the final diorama. The photos are partly a straight-up world war 2 build, and partly a hybrid fantasy story,with an alternate timeline where not only did world war 2 never happen, but the Roman Empire didn't happen, I particularly like the bright blue paint on the tank and the sweet little scratch built wall. Good times!

I've attached the chopper blades and started playing with ideas for the geometry of the stone circle. Probably going to do Stones of Stenness style angular blocks made from polystyrene.

So, this is pretty much done. Carefully brushed ina thin coat of dilute matt varnish, added some gentle washes, wiped most of them off, didn't ruin the whole paint job. Think I'm quitting while I'm ahead. Great little model!

congrats to your build. It looks to me that the wing tanks are rotated by 90 °. The filler caps appear to be at the sides, which would be a rather uncommon location for wing tanks.

Looks like a fun build. Did you manage to get enough weight in the nose? I did the old Airfix Meteor in my teens (early 80s) and there just wasn't room for the weight I needed. Mind you I was using Blu-Tack and marbles! I know people use lead shot now.

Yes, I was very pleased with myself. I got some lead fishing weights, wrapped them in masking tape, and popped them in the nose.They worked! I think fishing weights are denser than the old shots @sits!

Just for fun I got this pre-made fantasy diorama from a local shop, much to the horror of my wife. I tried the mini van in it and I like it. Will probably use it for various figures.

After a long, knackering week I blew off steam with a long modelling session. Huge fun and I was occasionally competent, although I mainly demonstrated my lack of skill! The van is coming together and might work ok with the figures.

Very nearly there now. The bright blue has settled down a lot after the washes. Tons of detail on the kit - a bit of dry brushing of aluminium really makes the rivets pop, I'm happy with the blending in of the decals.

Thank you for the kind comment!. The weird thing about the pentagram is that it's kinda mainstream, or was from antiquity through the medieval period. There's a big one in Chartres cathedral - it represents the human spirit ascending to the divine - inverted it's the divine coming to earth. The others are just mild earth religion symbols 🙂
