First boat is almost complete...

Album image #14
...my added pedals are non-workable, though...

Album image #15
these are the parts from the Airfoil steam engine...

Album image #16
...which I like a lot (in contrast to the Caranado boat kit: the fit of the parts is horrible at best and min-bogglingly disastrous at worst

Album image #17
Dry fitting of hull, seats and steam engine...

Album image #18
...revealed that more dry fitting is required 🙁

Album image #19
Phase 5: the 1/72 WW1 Austrian helicopter prototype is in 1:24 just big enough for a tiger-lynx-bobcat

Album image #20
Which may or may not stay there in the final diorama 🙂

Album image #21
instrument panel from the kit from some other decals and 1 mm "lights"

Album image #22
All major parts finished, waiting for final assembly (next weekend, maybe)

Album image #23
Slowly coming together. The clumsy windshield might be a goner, later...

Album image #24
...the large water wheel might look a tad big for the small beat...

Album image #25
...I like the stripped-down steam engine, though

Album image #26
Coal shoveling lady got an extra piece of apparel to be more decent (this is still a somewhat prude if alternative Victorian world)

Album image #27
The drone platform is temp connected, probably I use four beams at the end

Album image #28
Every body needs a "Windrichtungsanzeiger" (wind direction indicator) - OK, for a motor boat it makes little sense.

...more water, foam, ...

...then I call it complete.

When a moron (the one typing this lines) adds too much translucent material...

Album image #41
...so that it it no longer translucent any more 🙁 (I hope another day and night of drying will help...)

looks good, interesting conversion.

From the first racer, he big gearwheel and connection can be omitted (the one without teeth at the sides) because it's only function is to add weight, but it is a nice design.

I'm pretty sure it would just spin around in circles with only one paddle wheel on one side! Would need a pretty big rudder to stay straight. But it would make great slow burnouts in the water! Mmm.... I'm pretty sure that protocol droid driving would give you the statistics of the probability of failure! 🙂

To be honest, I just realized after I put the large paddle wheel on, that there might be ... practical problems, e.g. keeping a straight course - let's assume the rudder is gigantic and the forces manageable. Also buoyancy might be an issue as the whole thing would be rather heavy - and still the observation platform with the "drone" is missing 🙂

The automaton behind the steering wheel mumbled: "I have a bad feeling about this" 😉

🙂 It's still looks cool! Just whack a large heavy rudder on the left side. Maybe an old aircraft wing (DC-3?) would do for a rudder!

Practicality aside still and damn nice piece of modelling...
