Thanks Mates! 🙂 This is a great kit! Good detail, good fit, and fun. It seems to be extremely accurate compared to the photos and walk-arounds on the internet. It does have some motorization holes that need filling on the bottom (one plug is included). It also has rubber band tracks (pretty good detail; melted-pin connectors). The skirts hide a lot. Finally, there is no information on how to use the nice set of decals 🙁 .

Well done Mate 👍
Can you tell me how you did the Camo ? What kind of colors ?

Thanks Johne. I airbrushed Model Master acrylics for the base colors, starting with "Dark Tan" (1742). I then masked areas to stay tan with "Silly Putty" and applied "Medium Green" (4734). Then I applied more masking putty and shot on the thinner strips of "Sand" (1706). The black strips were done by hand using Vallejo black acylic. I use acylic paint so I can then apply a wash of black artist-oil paint mixed with mineral spirits. This really brings out the detail and adds shadows to the recesses. The excess wash wipes off with a little mineral spirits, but tends to darken the base colors. This step is very labor intensive. Dry brushing with Model Master enamels lightens things up a bit, and mistakes come off with mineral spirits. I then gloss coat and apply decals. After that, I airbrush "filters" of a dust color (highly thinned enamel paint), which lightens things up some more. Dullcoat finishes the job😉

Bye the way, the mud is real mineral soil from my back yard mixed with white glue and applied like paint with an old brush. I dry the soil on a cookie sheet in the oven, then filter it down to a fine dust, using my wife's stockings as a filter screen (don't tell her) 🙂.
