T-34/85 1944 bedspring armor
weldmarks made with streched sprue, surface roughness with mr surfacer, applied with a sponge, then pulled out when drying, and lightly sanded
decided to remake the handles in PE
Cast parts same way as described above, rolled armour plates in the same way, but with extra thin cement
also self made handles
drilled out the lightening holes...
then came across this.. needed the full spider tyres instead off the half spiders... so took some revell wheels and redid the exercise...
soldered the rear cover
made some boxes
some small parts...
needed folding...
changed the fuel tank
Started with the tracks... Will be calm for some time
to much sag?
to much sag?
Both lengths are ready...
On to the guidehorns... Small stuff to solder...
Original position of tensioning wheel
Tensioning wheel cut off
Reattached it so that it can turn around excentrical. Like this I'm able to fill the gap between to much and to little tension
Halfway the first track, tiny parts
Tiny bits of solder
First track done
Both tracks finished... Frontfenders to... Now on to resolve the problem with the complete fender
The PE fenders were a little short
And lengthened them
The other side too
Ready for primer

These tracks really look great! I've not seen any other PE tracks before that have looked the part. This build is really going in the right direction...

just a quick question, is this to much sag? otherwise I need to remove two more shackles, and then it becomes pretty tight...

picture 20 looks ok, when compared with for example, military-vehicle-pho..cture/number5637.asp but it may be more clear if the picture is taken from a lower level.

#20 is the right amount of sag! Two more links and it'll be way too much!

I've just been experimenting, and as it is on the pictures the track length is to much, with 2 tracks less there is too much tension... so I will cut off the locating pin for the tension wheel and adjust the angle.. like in reality..

I had a look at this before, but I assumed it was 1/35. This is amazing work for 1/72! You certainly have more patience than me.

Thx, I don't think I've got more patience, but it is not available job to do when stressed out...
Es-haq: with regards to the tracks, I added some pics
