The second Fagot B is on the bench, this should give opportunity for a comparision with Tamiyas boxing. It starts as usual: with Gunze colour and the cockpit... I did so with the friendly aid of Eduard.

Beautiful work! What glue did you used for the PE? Great work...

Thank you! I am using Cyanacrylad-glue of variable consistency- from very thin to thick.

The parts have just been glued together, no cleaning up of glue seems... You can see the huge amount of sanding and filling which will be necessary. I will show the gun housing fully exposed, therefore the open bow section.

Some new pictures, the first layer of Alclad "White Aluminum" has been sprayed. It will be polished and completed with a second layer. After that, on certain regions "Steel" and "Dark Aluminum" will bei applied.

Decals have been applied and sealed wth Gunze gloss-clear. Next will come a decent washing and weathering...

I did a little more weathering... next step will be polishing and smoothening the surfaces, then a final coat of dull clear will finish the NMF appearance.

After having tried to get the things looking a little more "busy" you can see the result on the new pictures. Something like this it once will look like....

Another beauty from Rolands Jet Factory! It looks very nice.
Any problems with the Alclad surface when you use masking tape?
How is the metallic look after you sprayed Gunzes Gloss Clear on it?
Some say it could turn a little bit dull. Is it ok with the Gunze stuff or would it make sense to use the Alclad stuff .... What do you think?

Thank you these kind ans motivating words Albi!
I did not encounter masking related problems on Alclad surfaces since I am priming with "glossy black"- from the Gunze colour range of course 🙂
For me it seems that any alteration of the original Alclad surface makes a difference- and that is, in most cases, not an improvement. In spite of that I am going to put glossy clear on all Alclad surfaces because it supports a essentially better looking decal application than without it. And, in my opinion, any effect is easely reversed with a careful use of "matt clear".
I have no opinion to the Alclad stuff- I have never used it, and it seems I will not use it in future because Gunze compliments Alclad products very well.

Just finished! Captain Milayushins Mig-15bis has left the workbench... No major problems encounter through the final steps. The most complex challenge was the attachment of the weapons gondola tangling from the roof of the weapons bay.
Thanks for your interest, hope you like it 🙂
