MiG-29, glorious Ukrainian Air Force
![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/1/5/0/1339150-11437-15-720.jpg)
The auxilliary intakes are only correct if the engines are running, so I replaced them with the closed ones.
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/1/4/5/1339145-11437-99-720.jpg)
Fitting of the closed intakes is good, just some filler at the seams needed. Shape is fine.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/1/4/3/1339143-11437-15-720.jpg)
Detail view of the closed intake.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/1/4/9/1339149-11437-94-720.jpg)
I needed to thin the outer part of the exhaust, so that the parts sled fully in. Right is after thinning, left before.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/1/4/4/1339144-11437-40-720.jpg)
The fuel tank has the APU exhaust running through it. I simulated it with a spare fuel tank, which has the right diameter. So, tank-in-a-tank!
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/1/4/6/1339146-11437-72-720.jpg)
A towbar is added as a nice bonus. It looks really nice!
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/1/4/7/1339147-11437-47-720.jpg)
For the ordnance, I make 2 radar guided AA-10, from the kit.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/1/4/8/1339148-11437-61-720.jpg)
The kit includes only 2 AA-11, as I wanted to show the MiG with four of them, I bought the Eduard set with four missiles. Looks goot, with the small aoa-sensors!
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/5/4/1/1358541-11437-78-720.jpg)
The gear legs a bit too long, on most photos, there is no space between the tire and the fuselage
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/5/3/9/1358539-11437-21-720.jpg)
Therefore, the exhausts are too high. They should be at belly to chest height, but not at head height.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/5/4/0/1358540-11437-15-720.jpg)
By shortening the gear legs by 1-2mm, the exhaust should be lowered by 2-4mm.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/4/8/8/1374488-11437-46-720.jpg)
I have cut the main gear legs by ca. 1.5mm, the result looks better now. The Exhaust is much lower.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/8/8/1/1498881-11437-73-720.jpg)
Missiles from Eduard with the first batch of decals. They really look nice!
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/8/8/2/1498882-11437-44-720.jpg)
Exhaust with different shades of metal and browns, drybrushed.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/8/8/3/1498883-11437-99-720.jpg)
The inside got some white and ochre too
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/7/3/6/1614736-11437-69-720.jpg)
The first colour is on, the MiG Silver Grey, after a layer of Gunze Mr. Surfacer and some preshading. Where the preshade is still strong, I will apply the light green tone.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/0/5/4/1634054-11437-47-720.jpg)
airbrushed the MiG green and brush painted the black part forward to the cockpit

Question to the experts, which colour should be used for the underside? Instructions says Gunze H308, light grey, but I heard the colour could be wrong. Any suggestions?

HI Lukasz, thanks for reply, I have the AK Interactive "Silver Grey" in my stash, so it looks like this colour fits!
