Beautiful work. I was hoping to see this kit built up here.

Thanks Nathan! It went together well. The only issue was that I sometimes couldn't tell when flash is part of the real thing and when it should be removed 🙂 I'm sure I removed some that should have stayed and left other that shouldn't be there.

The dots of paint seen in image 5, is that a special product, or could it possibly be just oil paint?

Interesting subject!

Treehugger: just oils paint (from a Abt 502 set). After applying the dots, I use a dry paintbrush to create streaks( or "maps" on horizontal surfaces). If it's too messy, I add a bit of thinner.
It tends to reduce contrast, like on the base here; and when using multiple shades, creates some texture on otherwise uniform surfaces.

Thanks @Neuling! AA is my favorite subject, especially with more recent Russian/Soviet designs combining missiles with guns, adding nice detail.

Looking very cool indeed - basking in the sunlight (unless it´s one of northern fleets pieces... 😄) All the weathering really makes a nice combo, details coming out while it´s not too much anywhere 👍 A bit of a pity that the guns are just there in closed tubes. On the other hand, thrilled to see the little handles on the spent cartridge boxes survived the whole process! 😉

Also agree Soviet Air Defense is a cool topic - maybe have a shot at this:

5V28 of 5P72 Launcher SAM-5 "Gammon" (Trumpeter 09550, 1:35)

- with 10m length, should be about as long as a KingTiger incl. gun 😄

Was following @treehugger's comment on that one! Might get one, but the price needs to get down to a more reasonable level.

Thanks Gastón! It's a nice country 🙂. I heard the same about Argentina, especially the mountains in the very south - would love to visit some time.

Thank you, Bart and Roland! Was a fun build, if a bit colorless in the end. A nice distraction from airplanes or AFVs.
