Beautiful! Very nice and convincing weathering as well... This is the first AMK Tomcat I have seen built on Scalemates. Bravo!

Indeed a really nice looking Cat!
@Michael
I was also wondering why we dont have more here.
On Facebook you can find a lot of them.

Weird indeed! So much fuss while waiting for AMK to release this kit, that one would expect a tidal wave of built kits once it came out. I'm to blame as well, as I have it in my stash, but lack the time to build it. (Or anything for that matter....) But hey, Dawid did a great job though! 😄

Seriously nice Tomcat & great pics, the hangar pictures look top notch! 👍

Is this all OOB? - the engine nozzles boasting such level of detail? If so, then this is definitely another Tomcat kit to consider 🙂

Great show start to finish!

Main problem with the tidal wave is availabilty I guess since AMK is a pretty small company with a small network. With the vendor network of tamiya this would probably be all over the place& in shops. Got mine from a friend deployed in Italy since there are no shops selling this in DE. Hope AMK gets some break through with this, they deserve it imo

For sure! They are model builders turned model manufacturers. They did this out of their interest and it should be applauded that they ventured into these model kits with the detail craving modeler in mind. I can only applaud their detailed research and pioneering into slide molding.

Great looking Tomcat. How was the build overall? I've heard some issues but nothing major or show stopping.

Thank you guys. I got this kit from AMK for promotion purposes, it's a good kit, but it has some minor fitting issues when connecting main fuselage section to nose fuselage. Is it worth the price? I dont know, probably depend what are you looking for. If you are looking for accuracy, and fitting, you probably dont beat tamiya with anything. I also have unbuild Hobby boss kit, it has great details, its actually over detailed thanks to the "mad riveter" but these are easy to fix. Also HB kit has some inaccurate air intakes, which I don't really care about too much. I want to build all 3 kits (AMK, Tamiya and HB) the only one thing I purchased extra for this kit is 2 metal probes that cost £3 but it's worth the money (made by Master I believe) next F-14 I'm going to build is Tamiya F-14A with top gun (movie) decals. Will add to it a Quickboost ejection seats with pilot and rio, probes and maybe something else. I want to build it before Top gun Maverick will be out in cinemas. AMK I fresh, it's not perfect but I'm gonna continue collaboration with them and just waiting for their MIG 31 to be delivered.
For a full build video of that Tomcat I invite you friends to our YouTube channel Scale Hangar 182, where me and my partner Anna (who is very good beginner) make a full build videos, unboxing videos and other scale modelling related stuff youtube.com/channel/UCpR5xuurEcUJG5IhkbmeCvw
