Thanks. Nathan - yes that nylon is a terrible material for anything that isn't flat planes. Unfortunately this product wasn't offered in any of the higher detail materials.

Album info

This is a model of the TIE Seeker electronic warfare/early warning craft, which is a fan design. Built in 2016 using an MVM TIE Bomber as the base with a conversion kit from Shapeways, designed by Frank8492. The original conversion kit was too small not designed for the MVM kit and too small but I contacted the designer and he made a modified/scaled up version available. The only problems with the conversion kit were modifying it to fit the base kit and that it was only available in the Shapeways Nylon material, meaning that the print was rough and needed a lot of work to smooth things out.
