Curtis CadenThomas, Michael and Gordon thank you for you comments on the paint. It is Tamiya TS Cobalt Green 899746. I ran across it a while back and loved it and felt it was perfect for this car but then had to buy it special on EBay since the Hobby Shop had it on back order and didn't know when they would get it. It is one of the premium colors and it looks just right on this car. Funny story I had bought some Ford floor mats and wanted to put them in a convertible and since I didn't have one I bought this one. Nothing like buying a car to go with the floor mats! LOL

RobbieA little story about one '69 GT500 Shelby Convertible. In the early/mid '70's growing up in the Detroit suburbs, the Ford Motor Company donated a brand new '69 Shelby G500 to my High School's Auto Mechanics class. Our senior project is to strip down and rebuild the engine. Sad thing is, when the school no longer wanted it, the school had to send it back to Dearborn (Ford Motor Company) where it would be destroyed. I recall a bunch of us seniors (class of '75) plotting a way to 'rescue' that car... BTW the color of our donated car was pretty close to this one. I recall ours was a bit darker and was a little metallic.
