The Lagg-3 is finished. But I'm not quite satisfied with the result. The kit decals AND the 'Authentic Decals' have very bad quality and when applied, they immediately torn and broken. After that I chipped the decals more and...Ok, ist look like worn and weathered. What do you think about?

if they rest of the plane were more "used" they would look really good

Your painting is excellent Chris, but Spanjaard is right, the decals would be fine if the weathering of the plane matched them. I've noticed that Soviet aircraft of the era where often excessively weathered. I have had the same problem with the decals of Russian kits.

Album info

I started with the Little ICM kit of the russian WWII Fighter Lagg-3 series 7-11.

I think, this kit is not expensive and easy to build with Little sanding and filling.
I use Gunze Colors with Leveling Thinner, Tamiya Clear and finally an Iwata Neo Air Gun.
