This Bronco Flakvierling 38 is coming together nicely with the Griffin upgrades meant for Dragon.

Looks great 👍 I get knots in my fingers by only watching that much photoetch parts 🙂

Thanks, HK. It's the little hinges that are really challenging. Bending sheet metal around a wire without plying it.

A dryfit showed me that the barrel shields had to be adjusted to get a better fit. Some extra magazines and ammoboxes were made. It's ready to paint now.

Guns and magazines painted gun metal, the rest German Grey.

Testing the timer mechanism inside the diorama, the Flak has been mounted as a dryfit on a tube glued to the axle of the clockwork. An arrow points to the barrel end and my watch shows the passing time. The system works really! Even with the gunner and gun shield mounted, the test can be repeated with succes.

The base is pinned to the diorama. The shooter figurine is heat-adjusted to his new position and fits to the vertical turnwheel of the Flak.

I would have loved to have seen the PE sheet before all your bending because there is obviously some serious time spent here on your PE. All in all, WOW.

That's a really impressive turnout there Steve, most impressed at your skills mate 🙂

Thanks, Kerry. I've got the original, Dutch language vuild log over here: modelbrouwers.nl/php...php?f=2&t=43425 , showing all the components in the first post. Actually, there were four or five sheets.

The Flak is now functional, in an hour it rotates 360°. This is the proposed setting with the figurines and some boxes and packages.

Steve, I appreciate the post of the modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=43425 as it gives me a better idea of just how much work you have put into this beauty. Thanks. 🙂

Thanks Kerry, and Kim, the both of you can follow a resumé I made of the process to make the figurines at modelbrouwers.nl/php..php?f=54&t=44310. Alas for Kerry, it's in Dutch, but I can explain it if there are questions.

Album info

As a tow for my Maultier I chose the Flakvierling 38 from Bronco, but with a lot of aftermarket goodies from Griffon to it. Instructions get quite complicated. First I finished the Sd.Ah.52 carrier unto the priming stadium. Now I'm fiddling with the barrels. Color is Tamiya German Grey over a black primer.
