Promising start Kars, looking forward to see more 🙂

Stefan, Like i said, some changes are too difficult. I can't come up with a way to change the form of the side pots. I will just have to see what's do-able for me.

Looking good kars. I have heard about this conversion a few weeks ago. Pattos decals are matched for the Fujimi kit. I can't wait to see more. 🙂

Lesley, Yes thse are decals from Pattos. I didn't know they were for the Fujimi kit. This is on my 'idea-list' for a long time. I already noticed i made some slight mistakes. Maybe i should order an extra set and an extra Sauber for a 2nd version.

Hmmm!!! first time I've seen this...
Doing a grand job Kars, I'm following your build.
Like Tim I wasn't aware of this conversion either.
It's at times like this I miss Norm' at F1 Specialties, he used to contact me to let me know...

Like i said, i didn't want to spend too much money on this. It will be a conversion within my limited skills. I am unable to do a big conversion of the engine cover and the side pots. I can't make a new resin cover or side pots, so it will just be adding some rod/pipes/planks and putty to try to reshape these parts. It will not be a 1:1 car. A full WIP will be on my website www.racingkars.nl On this forum i will post a pic every now and then. Luckily i managed to correct my first mistakes.

These '13 & '14s are renewing my interest in the type. Form and function are creating interesting shapes. I will be following you efforts with delight. Best of luck!

Project is finished. I am happy with it. An asset to my collection. Dutch driver cars in this case. Full WIP is on my website. www.racingkars.nl (Nederlands/English)

It's an excellent build Kars...
Very well done!!!
On a different note... you said!
" Now on to my MFH Ferrari 312F1 1967 Monaco version. This is now on hold, because i am missing a part. "
What part are you missing Kars???
7 March 2014, 18:39
Kars Jans
I am missing part M15. It comes up in the second drawing of the instructions. it's a kind of roll bar. I left a message on the MFH page. I hope they will be able to replace it. Not too happy with this. I already do have the Orange House Ensign N175 on hold because of two missing engine parts. In fact, the most important parts of the engine are missing. And i don't have a spare DFV engine in plastic to replace them. So in short, i wanted to build 2 kits and both have missing parts. My fortune.

I've had a missing part on a MFH kit and they sent a replacement the next day without charging anything, not even postage! I used this emailadress: cus@modelfactoryhiro.com

I agree Tim...
I had a problem once, I contacted them on that same address, I wrote it in English and Japanese... They returned a reply in less than an hour.

Thanks Tim/Steve. I already left a message on the website, but i will write to this adress to try to get a replacement. Will be in english though. My Japanese goes as far as sayonara. 🙂

Kars use Google Translate...
That's how I did it, I can speak some Japanese. Tamiya, Fujimi, Hasegawa, Bandai, imai, Aoshima, Honda, Suzuki, Toyota, Tokyo, Fuji, Bullet Train...

Bravo!!
Well done Kars😉

When i see what Google Translate does to Greek into Dutch, the shivers go down my spine. I think it's better not to use it for Dutch into Japanese. They might be offended. But you speak it very well Steve. I will contact you more often to translate the instructions for me. LOL
7 March 2014, 19:50
Tim van Dooremalen
Just use English, they understand that just fine!

Part of a nice song of a dutch pop group: Tokyo, i'm on my way and in my new Toyota it's not so far away.

Album info

Slight conversion of a Sauber C31 into a Caterham CT03. I believe the Sauber came closest to be converted. Some changes are too complicated, so it will not be a 1:1 conversion into the real car. It will be nice to add this to on of my collections, in this case 'F1 Cars driven by Dutch drivers'.
