The finished Ed Erro Peterbilt Hay Hauler. I'm showing the model with the trailer decked which is not correct for the Erro trucks of the era but this is how I will display it for saving space on the display shelves.

Red bits and pieces - Back in the 60's and early 70's Peterbilt mudflaps were red with white logo lettering. By 1971 the red was replaced with white mudflaps with the background logo in red.

I've had these old peel-n-stick vinyl letters for over 20 years. They finally got their chance to be useful again.
These have an embossed raised edge that I sanded off to create smooth letters.

Vinyl E's applied to the grille and covered with Bare Metal Foil - to be trimmed here.

Trimmed Bare Metal Foil E's and kit decal Peterbilt logos. I applied Microscale Clear in a thick oval shape where the Peterbilt logos would go so they would a. stick and b. not contour to the shape of the grille screen.

Thanks George. I like to add comments and notes on how or what I have done - a hold-over from authoring the Truckers Corner column in ModelCars magazine for many years. If I have tips, tricks, reference material, etc I try to share it to help others. Anything to help make modeling better. I like to think that is what the hobby is about, sharing information and learning. I learn something new everyday.

Using the AMT Peterbilt Pacemaker 352 kit, wheels and tires from AMT White-Freightliner and Autocar A64B and plenty of Evergreen plastic I'm attempting to create an Ed Erro truck from the early 1970's. I started this in October of '22 and work on it from time to time. Finished in November 2023.
