Hans-Jürgen; thank you! James - yep I think you're right, I shall wait for the cheapest possible opportunity on eBay and get one. I just mentioned it to my wife and she raised one eyebrow and said "great...." in the most sarcastic voice possible. So that's even better! 😄

As a follow-up, I have remembered that there is no such thing as a (hassle-free) bargain on eBay anymore. That being the case, I have now bought this: Messerschmitt Bf109 E-4 (Airfix A01008A, 1:72) and will try to find time to get that done. Will post a photo once that has happened!

I saw this done on YouTube a few months back and was really taken with the idea. I had already done the kit that was used in the video, but when I saw the same kit in a different scheme on eBay for £4 I decided to have a go. I am a total amateur compare to the original video but I am still pretty pleased with the result...
