Dietmar Kollmann@DerMattes Here are a few more photos. The idea to build was a photo in Combat Aircraft Magazine. I then searched the Internet for model photos and then implemented everything as best as possible. The shelter wall is made of corrugated cardboard. The rest of the materials are as shown in the photos. I used papier-mâché to build the terrain because it is lighter than plaster and therefore easier to transport. The greening was done with different types of grass from the model railway sector. For the lighting I took a 2 LED chain from our Christmas store. The ground equipment is partly completely homemade, partly conversion of kits.

Erik TorpIf I should criticize anything it is the lack of trees on top of the shelter. 331 Squadron was stationed in Bodø, north of the arctic circle, and their hard shelter is inside a mountain covered in rocks and birch trees. Most hard shelters in Norway are built into mountains, using the nature itself as camouflage.

Dietmar Kollmann@Erik Torp, sorry to say but my shelter is like that one on the photo(you see it in the gallery). In that is a picture of Bodö Airport. But you are right, on the most shelters there are trees.
