does anyone of ýou know the FS number of early B-2 Spirit grey colour?

Hi Sven, based on a quick photo search I would suggest it's Gunship Gray FS 36118 like the colors used on the B-1B and F-15E Strike Eagle. Good luck with this huge project 🙂

Thank you guys for your interest! After a long time deciding how to display the model I came to the conclusion to build a scene when the pilots get their last instructions and in front of the plan. So next to the undercarriage only the boarding ladder will be deployed. I´m still not sure if I will use any more things like PE from Eduard.

Thanx Asdex for your suggestion! The mordern ones are painted in Gunship grey overall. But I like the black front edge. From the pictures it seems the grey is a lighter colour than gunship grey. But we all know the problems with findeing the correct colour because of weather at the day, overcast, sunny days, dusk or dawn and of course the picture above is nearly 30 years old. Maybe it´s just my personel wish that the grey is another one.
Sometime ago I started making colours cards from every paint I´m using. There are some greys already and comparison with gunship grey and a very dark grey shows it could be right.

I found the proper colours for my B-2 in the early camo scheme. Like Asdex7189 stated I will use FS36118 for the main surfaces. The leading edges will get a coat of H401. The cockpit gets XF19 (FS36622) with the dashboard also in H401.

Yes indeed, 2 B-2 WIP simultaneously! And the good thing is you will have some time to follow. I know stugiii´s and my slow tempo in modelbuilding due to many other projects on the bench and so on 🙂

All that sanding required considerably reduced my motivation to carry on with my build. But Sven just startet a race here. Although it might be at a slow pace 🙂
