Logan Eden Good Day All, This may sound like a paid endorsement (I wish it was) but this kit is huge. With the full interior, etc. the box is stuffed with sprue's. It is so full that it took five attempts to fit everything back in properly to close the lid. The box itself has a depth of 5" vs most of my other 1/35 scale armour kits having a depth of 3.25" and they are not stuff full. This kit will be a long and enjoyable build. Catch Ya, Logan
Urban Gardini Bear in mind that the kit have incorrect tracks if you want to model #217 as that one had early track links without cleats. And Carius only commanded it a few days during the summer of '44 so if you want to to that it should be in plain dunkelgelb without any extra camouflage colours.

Nathan Camarillo Ahh good points! Thanks for the tips! I have a set of fruli early tiger tracks so maybe I'll use those if I do the 217

Logan Eden Good Morning, Nathan Good luck with this big project as I stated, this kit is huge. I have not started this Rye Field Tiger I, but am working on their earlier offering, the Rye Field Tiger 1 kit RM-5001. Three of us from our local Model Club are having a SGB (Small Group Build) on the tiger 1 and two of us are building the RM-5001. We both find the RM-5001 to be going together nicely, with only a couple of minor issues. Speaking of our club, the club has a build day every third Sunday of the month (today to be exact) when we rent one of their meeting rooms. Fifteen or so of us have the afternoon to build together and socialize. Sorry that I have not started the RM-5010 yet, but please keep me posted when you start. Catch Ya, Logan

Logan Eden Good Morning, Urban I must say, the model #217 is the one to go with as the kit art is spot on!!!! Thanks for the tip regarding the cleats. Will have to see if Friulmodel offers the correct track. As for making it correct for the time that Otto Carius commanded it in the summer of '44, I may have to finish mine for the winter scene just because I like it best. This may change as I usually think about the paint scheme while building. Catch Ya, Logan
