Ah, that's why you all have such large stashes. So the wife won't notice if you add a new kit :) Clever strategy.

I have to worry about my dad but he dont care lol

Jan - yes, hide it in plain sight. You have found me out!! ;)
Actually, my wife is pretty understanding as all my other vices (beer drinking, partying, bar hopping, hanging with the fellas etc) seem to have gone by the way side. I just build models, spend time with the family and work though I need to revive my soccer playing. :)
Hunter - believe me when I say you have come along at a great time in the hobby. I would just keep an eye out on E"vil"Bay as this kit and the 6253 seem to come and go quite frequently. Most recently I saw those kits go for ~$56 each w/ free shipping.

So four kits for $150?

What were the other three kits? Because imho, if those other three kits aren't really great kits, it's not really a bargain ;)

There's a Kurzmaul Tiger I on sale right here on ScaleMates btw, if you want one ;) it's $50.

Other than the box that has the name Alfred Kurzmaul on it and the fact that it (the box) is a DX'07 "special" edition, there is nothing special about the kit itself (the contents of the box), at all.
It doesn't have Magic Tracks but instead comes with DS Tracks only. I know some of you like DS Tracks but for a so called special edition kit release, that is just absurd. There's not even a metal barrel or metal tow cable rings...

Personally I think this kit is highly overrated (by some). The normal going price for this kit is $30 to $50 (in Europe, where I live, that is 30 Euros to 50 Euros). Anything higher than that is just plain stupid.

The "special" thing about this kit is that you:

- Get less for more
- The packaging
- The decals (but you can easily get those anywhere, you don't need this kit for them!)

There are far better Dragon Tiger kits out there! Meaning, kits that are better detailed AND have much more in terms of extra goodies.

Having said that: Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E Sd.Kfz. 181 Tiger I (Dragon 6253, 1:35)

1:35 Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E Sd.Kfz. 181 Tiger I (Dragon 6253)

Go hunt for THAT one! IMHO that is the best Tiger I Late kit available. You will need no other ;)

Hunter....If your finding that kit at $80.00 that's a fair price. You will not find it cheaply.

Hunter go for Nr. 6600 Tiger I (Dragon 6600, 1:35) It has less bling bling ( and no figures), but more usefull bling like the engine grills.
