★ Starfish ★ Thanks Frankie! I haven't used Vallejo primer anymore after this Sukhoi. I mostly use Mr. Finishing Surfacer nowadays but I still don't clean my kits 🙂

Francky I am not claiming that I am fanatic about it, but I do clean surfaces before airbrushing, and I always prime. Often I sue the primer of the brand of paint I am going to use.
Cleaning for me means that I go over the surface with a piece of tissue that doesn't leave any dust behind on the surface but is slightly wet with isopropanol. This is sufficient to remove fingerprints (that for instance when you use a metaliser from Alclad become very prominent once airbrushed) or other greasy stuff.
I do this as last stage before airbrushing the primer

★ Starfish ★ I used a picture frame and structural paste to form the terrain. Then I used my new static grass applicator. As you will see soon, I scratch built my own trees to place the aircraft next to a little forest. The Tiger tank is a cheap diecast that I repainted. As some tank experts already told me, it's highly unlikely that this type of tank would have been in service late in the war. I still decided to use it but concealed the Feifel air filters under a tarp later. More details coming soon!

★ Starfish ★ Here comes my second diorama in 1/144th scale which I call "The Last Stand". The (fictional) scenario is a group of infantry and a tank defending one of the last critical positions late in WWII. 2 Bachem Ba-349 Natter were abandoned before they could be launched against bombers.
