This is seemingly a great kit but it does come with some issues! Some are merely cosmetic and can be remedied fairly easily. However, others are quite serious,f.i., the problems with the side skirts!

Take a look at David Byrden's website for specifics: tiger1.info/models/products-page/RM5001

And follow this thread over at Track-Link for an extensive build log (including well placed comments by David Byrden): track-link.com/forums/site_blogs/24224/flat

I really do suggest you go through them BEFORE you buy this kit!

Personally, I will be holding off for the moment to wait and see how Rye Field is going to handle the currently exposed issues.

The thing with the side skirts " cannot be unseen" 😄 Luckily only looking at the tracks drives me insane...so no intention of buying this kit.

Hahaha! Yeah, the tracks are indeed "a bit much"😉 very detailed, though 🙂

And indeed! The side skirts need fixing no matter what. As you say, it is right there, in plain sight.

Fixing it is nigh impossible because the lengths of the front skirts are incorrect. And the openings in the skirts vs the bolts are also incorrect... I think the easiest way out would be to take the aftermarket route and use a PE side skirt set, where you could shave off the attachment points on the side wall of the hull and replace them with correctly positioned ones... but it is either very difficult or will cost you money... both, I think, are not acceptable for a kit like this.
