While inspired to build the HC. Mk4 as one of my Falklands War projects, I decided to finish this model as the boxed version of ZA314 from 848 NAS Yeovilton in its 2011 Olive green and with sand filter not used in the 1982 conflict

Check your sensor fit out and sand filter,I dont think they had them at that time.I think Cyber Hobbies Seaking is more representative of the period.

Thanks for the feedback David .. I totally agree. I only discovered Scalemates projects this morning and was having a bit of a 'play' to see what it was all about. Still not sure how it all works but guess it's a way of sharing our builds 🙂
So, I've updated the project with a bit of commentary and will look out the Cyber Hobbies version, albeit there are many out of the box modifications one could make to the Airfix version which I may look at later / next time.

If you ever build in 48 the flightpath conversion is very detailed albeit the sponsons apparantly are oversize but look OK to me,

What could be more appropriate as first contribution to Scalemates! Welcome and keep up that lovely work!

Thank you David & Mirko ... I'm blown away by the kind responses! I returned to scale model making, probably like so many, at the start of lockdown and am on a steep learning curve as I get to grip with so many new elements to the art that in my early years of Airfix kit, tube of glue and enamel brushed paints, I could never have imagined. I'm loving the journey and now that I have discovered Scalemates I'm looking forward to learning so much more from you guys!
