What's the story with these decal sheets? How do you use them? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

Sorry I don't speak English well
This paper is similar to HGW MODEL wet transfer decal
The advantage is that only the color without top coat remains on the model as with a normal decal

Sorry if I don't understand this correctly, but why wouldn't you just paint directly onto the model with those masks?

Zach Wilson
interesting, micromark had a similar product but I don't think they offer it anymore.

This way i can avoid the risk of damaging the model, for example by scraping/peeling off the underlying color or by underspraying the mask. There is more at risk. I was mainly showing that with these mask, you can use ordinary color and not only laser printer. In my case Gunze hobby color.

I can't find any set for ink printer... Is it only for laser printers?
21 October 2020, 15:55
Frantisek Cerny
I think it's just for laser printer

Btw, I used the Mr. Mark Setter under the decal.

Darek .
Ok, but I see you used not printer but just the airbrush, just painting it on that paper, so maybe it is possible to print on ink printers.

I have just been testing some as I could not get the decals I wanted, I used a deskjet version, I obtained them from amazon. They work really well. Snitieecr A4 10 sheets and some crystal Clear to seal the image.

No, it won't work. Is the difference between the ink in the printer and the airbrush color. I tried it this morning and it's not dry even after ten hours.

Very interesting these waterslide decals. Did you order them directly from sunnyscopa?
At the sunnyscopa side I saw that they offer a M sheet too, which is although for plastic and ither surfaces like the A sheet. Which one is better? In that video you've posted it is said A?

Hi Frantisek. I have theses sheet too in the stash but never put them to use. Actually because there was a point in the instructions requiring the applied decal to be heated for a time in the oven. I suppose you did pass on that step as the model would be all melted. Did you do something special to get them perfect or just stepped over the oven part. Cheers

Yes, I ordered directly from sunnyscopa. I don't know which is better, I have type A only.

Hi Mathieu
I applied glue Mr. Mark Setter under the decal.
I let the Decal dry. Minimal 2 hours, but it's not a problem to let it dry until the next day.
I didn't use any heater.
If the surface is too rugged, Mr Mark Softer can be used after removing the cover foil. But very carefully, you need to try outside the model.
