👍 love your work mate!
nice comparison shots, really hard to spot any shape differences for my untrained eye, but tamiya seems to have a better shaped canopy, giving a bit more curved and sleek look on the nose

I guess there is no such think like "liking the Tomcat a bit"... When it sparkles, the love knows no boundaries... 😄 Excellent show to view every time this pops up! 👍

@Patrick Hagelstein
Thank you very much!

@Daniel
Your work is so beautiful and inspiring with the VF-2 marking that I decided to make a replica of it 🙂 Personally I think Tamiya has better shape, yet AMK did provide more options and pay more attention to delicate details. AMK's injection moulded wings are more modeler friendly compared with KASL Hobby resin wings🙂

I am still waiting for the sunny days to take the final photos, since it has been overcast for more than two weeks. Stay tuned! :-D And I am looking forward to your F-23 and AMK MiG-31 builds!

Album info

Today is big day for my Tamiya F-14D build. I finally put all large parts together without using adhesive tapes. These reveal photos would be references for future photo shooting when this Tomcat is 100% progress. I am pleased with this outcome, enjoy! I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all those who like this project, without all your support this project would not be anything possible. I also take this as a tribute to Daniel's epic AMK F-14D build, which also represents the aircraft BuNo. 164342, NE106, VF-2 Bounty Hunters
