USS Enterprise (CV-6)

I chose the prewar color scheme after realizing that the kit is of the carrier as completed in 1938. The foremast isn’t enclosed, the triangular board on the island is still hanging over the flight deck, and the flight deck has prewar lettering and striping.
The only scratchbuilding was adding bilge keels, which, when combined with a glued-in load of brass BBs keeps the model from rolling when not on its stand.
