I have just purchased this kit. What is the hold up over the colours? Is it not RLM65 underneath & RLM70/RLM71 on top?

Well, I have read a few articles, all call for RLM 65 underneath, bLuftwaffe birds were RLM 70/71, but for a maritime patrol craft I have heard the colors were RLM 72/73, but having trouble finding matches for those colors. It is a beautiful kit though, builds up real nice, and I may just end up doing 70/71, but at the moment I have some health issues that are keeping me from doing anything really, so itll probably get done next year sometime.

I'm sorry to hear of your health problem & wish you a swift recovery. You are indeed correct about RLM72 & RLM73 Trumpeter has this wrong! I have just ordered those colours from here: mrpaint.sk/index.php..2&product_id=113

I think though, if you want to make a Luftwaffe Transport version RLM 70 and 71 are correct. Now, I am no rivet counter or anything, but I do like a pretense of correctness in what I do.

Album info

Here is my FW 200 build, I do mostly, but not always OOB builds. After moving last year the landing gear got badly damaged, so I am replacing it with the White Metal pieces from Scale Aircraft Conversions, I think for big aircraft, especially the ones where you have to put a lot of weight in the front to get it to sit on the nose, the metal is better.
