Alec K: Thanks! There are a few things I could have done better, though.

H K: I know, right! When I saw the model I was like: "I need to build this. Like right now." I may need to see a doctor about it 🙂

Looks very nice. I have this kit in my stash and I am eager to build it. One of my favoured cars.

Album info

A visit into a world of cars. Honing my skills on a doing a gloss finish.

The kit was fairly good. Even though the decals were from cartograf, they were quite thick and I had to apply a lot of coats of clear and sand/polish them to get rid of the decal edge. It is still visible by naked eye if looked from the right angle under the right light.

The color is custom mix. I used Mission Model Paint, white Stynylrez for priming and Gunze GX100 for the clear coat. The silver paint is Vallejo model color. The blacks are from Vallejo and Tamiya. The parts with the chrome finish came with the kit.

If you are wondering about the white exhaust pipe, I was too, but found it on a reference picture, so at least one car had it 🙂

And also experimenting with black background.
