that cockpit looks really fantastic. i had some problems to close the two halfs of the fuselage after using the same set. but after later experience with other aires sets, probably it is because i did not sanded enough... with Aires you have to sand the resin to the point of insanity....

I found that out today, I was covered in resin dust by the time I got through. After about 5 mins of grinding away I took everything outside because of so much dust I was creating. Really made me think if it was all worth it. Next time I will either just keep it stock or use a different brand resin kit. The Aires has great detail but way too much grinding and sanding required.

I hope you are using a mask Stefan – I'm sure you know that resin dust is carcinogenic, but I'm just checking.

nice work - I have the same kit (different package) and Aires cockpit and your experience worries me a little bit.
The result however seems to justify the work!

i fully agree, resin from Aires have a fantastic detail (and they have really good support to) but the amount of sanding is incredible, and the instructions leave some room for improvement. specially when you need to cut parts of the kit. they simply say "some surgery will be needed" but they do nto even tell where.... final result, if you get it right is fantastic, though. but you can build a whole kit in the same time you fit those resins.
