Me too.
Gustavo, What putty have you used?

Gustavo Sarmento
Cuajete: believe it or not, CA (Cyanoacrylate) glue. Dunno the most popular brand in your country, but here in Brazil it's Super Bonder. I tried tons of putty types and alikes, and this is the one that worked best for me so far.

Thanks Gustavo. Blue color confused me. I have also used cyanoacrylate instead of putty and certainly the results are good.

Oh... I use a marker pen over it to check for inaccuracies. Simpler and as effective as making all the fuss with the airbrush. 🙂

Good trick, Gustavo!

CA + baking powder? =D I used it in previous models, but during sanding I think the hardened CA is much more resistant then the plastic. Did you have any difficulties? Iam considering testing a recepie for DIY putty with sprue. hehe Following!

Augusto: plain and pure CA glue. Indeed it ends up harder than the plastic itself, but to me it seems better to work with than all the mess with putty paste. I'm planning to try homemade sprue putty when the situation demands a bit of moulding, we'll see!

nice work so far... were your decals also more like stickers then decals?

Bart: I only used the cockpit decals so far, but indeed I found them strange, to say the least. With a weird tendency to jam themselves.

Add a bit of metallic pigment to the CA. Makes it softer and more visible.
Home made putty can be made with leftover Tamiya extra thin cement and added sprue. Just find the right mix

@Martin Oostrom The recepie that I know involves a cheaper alternative to the cement. Its a product that dentists use to make molds with plaster or something like that, and its called Jet here in Brasil.

I've used CA and just plain old baby powder to fill gaps with and that works fine and dries quick! I've often wondered where they get the babies to grind into the powder from? 🙂
