Beautifully executed Brian. It looks like there were many places this project could've gone south on you, but you pulled off that paint scheme in a remarkable manner. I considered doing the Swedish flag on my STRV 103 after seeing an example in Chieftain's videos, but decided against it. Those Stars & Bars are wonderfully eye-catching. A+

Thank you very much Gary. The deck and turret angles have many uneven surfaces that were a challenge to mask. Lots of trial, error, time and patience. I too saw the STRV 103 on Chieftain and had a still photo of an actual 103 painted in Blue and yellow - that will be my guide. That is such a unique design, reminiscent of the StuG's. I am masking the Challenger 2 now for the Union Jack livery.

It was an incredibly positive woah! I was just overloaded with patriotism and at a loss for words. Really nice execution!

Album info

My latest build is the first in a series of "National Tanks".

First up is the M1A2 in "Old Glory" livery.

The build was simple. The masking a bit more involved. Spent about 23 hours masking withe Tamiya 6mm tape. Highly recommend tape by the way..... it comforms very well. Minimal bleed under the tape edge.

Some color after years of OD Green and camouflage.

Enjoy......
