This (very) little piece has no less than 14 plastic parts and 2 PE pieces

Not sure I bent that small PE wire correctly but it's so small you need a magnifying glass to see it properly so I'm pleased I managed to put it at all

Album image #9
Yeah, those two cross-like plastic pieces in the front had to be glued separately, and yes they are 2mm each

The metal barrelis included in the kit and it's actually rifled. Too bad the hole is too shallow but nothing a little black paint won't fix

Album image #11
The shield is supposed to be a smooth rounded piece but since it's made out of multiple pieces you get a very ugly seam in the middle. Will have to fix this later somehow

Two ammo boxes included with the kit. The wood texture on the exterior is quite nice. There are also different types of projectiles included with the boxes

After all the trouble with the PE inner structure they're not even gonna be visible once this is closed up

Started building the howitzer and ... wow ... I've built some Trumpeter kits before but never one with so many small pieces. Sometimes it's hard to figure out where each piece needs to go and I'm amazed the carpet monster was not hungry these days. Hopefully it will stay this way till the end 🙂
For example: the fire-aiming telescope in pic 6 is composed of 14 plastic parts and two PE parts and it's less than 2cm!!! Crazy!!!

Looks good, sadly Soviet artillery is very underrepresented in 1:35th scale.

More progress on the build; not as fast as I would've liked due to the huge amount of (very) small pieces and PE. It truly is an eye-straining project 🙂, but I'm actually pleased with it so far.

Finally the build is done, including the limber. Despite some hair-pulling moments the built kit is quite lovely.
I think my next build is going to be a Tamiya kit, I need something easy 🙂

Hallo, did you want to have set of Ya-12 + limber + 122 M30? If yes, you have the limber wrong. this drawbar is designed for horse drawn.

It should be short like this: [img1]
But no worry about that! just cut long segment for horses off!

Hi Vitek, yes, I know, I wanted to build it fully just for the picture. The limber section designed for horse carriage is detachable, the nail that is holding it is not glued down (even the instructions tell you this), so for YA-12 it will be detached.
I've attached a picture with it detached.
