Well, no Vikings in sight right now. No 1:50 figures are available. The only way right now is either heavily modify existing 1:50 scale figures or sculpt some by myself....

Common gaming figures in 28mm are about 1:56 scale. That may be as close as you can get for ready made figures.

Album info

The kit provided 28 shields on metal (!). They looked nice and just primed them for painting and then looked at them. Viking shields were made from wood, and the painting will just not make the cut! So, I decided to plank the things...all of them. It took some basic engineering but I think they looked nice. I'm painting them yellow and black as suggested by my pals of Scalemates (Thank you guys!). I'm adding a little bit of extra detail and some wear and weathering. The will be placed on the rail at each side of the ship.
