Fantastic Christian. Especially the colour is on the spot. Looks amazingly realistic 👍
But i would cover the "Nummernschilder" in the original pics 🙂

Thank you very much for your nice words!
I like it, to have my Beetle on my desk at work 🙂 It was challenging to built it and I'm so glad to found someone, who was able to design and print the rims and tires so exactly. This is just awesome.

If you don't mind: help him, to win the community build at Revell Germany 😉 If you'd like it on Facebook 🙂

@Daniel ... I think because of the same Nummernschilder on the model kit, it's not that bad 😉 ED is pretty much save in the garage, where it sits.

Ähm - wow! 😮
The paintjob on your model is better than it ever was on the real thing! 👍

Album info

May I introduce you: this is a model kit of my own Beetle: ED. The main changes were to transform the 1968 Beetle by Revell (#07083) from the standard trim to the highest available trim: a 1500cc engine with semi automatic and semitrailing rear axle, nearby all the small differents, the luxury Beetle offers:
Pockets in the front doors panels, an ashtray in the rear side panels, ventilation for fresh air in the front hood, ventilation slots in the engine hood, larger bumpers and rear lights and a lot of more.

ED was painted with it's original paint: L620 Savannenbeige (Zero paints). Covered with 2K clear coat, polished to a nice and shiny finish.

The rims are custom made. The original measures were transformed into scale and to fit on the model kits axle. I proudly say, that ED is the first model kit with those rims. Why? Because they didn't exist until I gave them to produce. Thank you to camaro69 😉

Notice: on the pictures you'll see a light blue Beetle. This is how the kit comes out of the box. So you can compare them and look for the changes I've done.
