I thought it was secret code Arne....."the sky is blue from behind the cat". "The green apple is best eaten on a full moon" 🙂
It is an interesting kit Arne, I've never known much about these cars but the chassis is very different to the normal set up. I'm thinking all red or canary yellow.

My research shows more colours for this "Duck" (We called this car in Germany Duck, because....I don´t know...😉). The red with black fenders is the Charleston. The canary yellow car is the most famous color for this. Some are bright green and the older once are beige or grey.

I'd like to do the two tone yellow with black wheel arches but I'm thinking of just doing a single colour for a bit more ease of masking etc. So black, yellow, light blue or red.....I've got a lot of red paint mixed from previous kits so red is the logical choice.

Yep. Take red.

In the Netherlands the 2CV is also known as "het lelijke eendje" (ugly duckling).

My Mom had a "Duck" back in the 80`th. The suspension was absolute cool. It was not driving over the streets - it was more "wobbeling" over the street. 🙂

Yeh there's some crazy photos of them cornering

Yeah right Ben. Driving it felt more like a stormy boat trip in an inflateable. 😄

My father-in-law drove the "Duck" too. One time, my wife was almost 9-years old, he had a bad accident. Another car crushed in his Citroen, killed his collegue, who was his co-driver and injured him bad. He recover his wounds, but never his mind.

Once I had brother in law (Frenchman) who had one of the first types of the 2CV. He kept a box with rubber bands and scotch tape for Quick repairs. One day we tried, with four persons in the 2CV, to climb the Puy de Dome. Even in first gear we never made it to the top cause a overheated engine!
