Finally been able to clear some space and get on with this again. Have managed to prime the whole aircraft. Have sprayed the sky for the fuselage band and the spinner. Have masked the band and built up the prop. Sprayed the underside medium sea grey. First real go at pre shading. Hard to pick up with my bad camera though. Enjoying using my new airbrush though. Makes the paint a lot easier to control.

Yea Kerry got myself an Iwata Hp-C+. So much better than the other one I was using. Hopefully mask up the underside tomorrow and start on the top side camo.

The Iwata's have a nice 'feel' to them, and I have the "Eclipse". 🙂

Thanks Clifford. Well Had my first go at using blu-tac to mask the camo scheme. Looking forward to checking everything. Just hoping nothing has bled under a mask.

Thanks guys. I'm using Vallejo model air paints. First time using them and they are great.

Well removed the mask and i'm pretty happy with the result. Did however get the sky band all wrong. First time trying to paint that so will learn. Pretty happy with the rest of it though. Will get some clear onto it tomorrow and start the decals 🙂

Any recommendations for cleaning the slight marks left by the blue tack would be greatly appreciated.

All shiny now. Ready for decals soon.

Blue tack should not leave any marks or residue behind Kresten. 🙂

If there are little bits that failed to come away the first time, just use a small piece of blue tack and dab it on the bits left behind and they WILL lift away. 🙂

It is looking really top notch now Kresten, and I saw how you used the blue tack, and bits that are there, it will come away mate, don't worry. OK. ?
Cheers

Well after the clear was done I finally got organised to start the decal work. This is when I realized I had the wrong roundels for the aircraft I was making. Hahaha. Have found a set with the ones i'm after. Time to wait I guess.
