Wow, I didn't realize how much this kit needed a face lift, I better watch this build!!

Dave, some of these conversions are only necessary if you want to open the hood, but the kit starts to show it's age.

The Commando, though mostly closed off, got some interior shape. The driver form the Mutt will take this stead.

About the axle joints, the leaf springs are simplified to strengthen the axles. That' s visible at picture 60. The strips connecting the axle to the springs interrupted at the separation line should actually be bolts running along the whole heigth of the joint.

Driving straight forward is boring, so lets chop off those front wheels and put a wire in them.

Thanks, I just simulated a mine explosion under the M151 with the aid of a drill, a knife and a hot metal plate under the wheel. Then I primed everything.

The base plate is now painted green and sand brown. The pictures show various stages of the models being primered, painted in Olive Drab as the base color, OD and Dark Yellow as post-shade and even some fine detail and sand filter on the V-100 tyres.

Amazing. Only thing i dont like that much are those plastic plants. Thats not a criticism, just that thay somehow dont fit all that fine detailed job you done on the models and figures.

We'll see about how good I can get them, if it doesn't work out I still have some sphagnum moss.

Mig's wash for NATO Camo comes also in handy for Olive Drab. An extra figurine joins the V100 crew.

Thanks, Calvin! I just washed the crew with AK NATO 3-tone and painted some extra detail on the plants. The base is sprayed Armypainter matte and the vehicles are glued to it.

Congratulations. Amazing job. No offense but i still think that the vegetation is at least one level lower from the suberB vehicles and realy great figures.

Thanks, David. It was an experiment and what proved useful can be repeated.
