Cylinders need some putty
Some green putty ...
A bit of detail has been added to the engine
Some stretched sprue strakes added to the sump
Cylinders and carb glued to the block
Also disk brakes haven been glued
Suspension arms glued to the chassis pan. The joint is too weak and I had to reinforce it with with CA glue.
Admission ducts and front fan added

Engine
Chassis with marked section to be removed. Sump did not fit in the opening.
More progress on the engine. Now with air intakes and exhausts shrouds have been glued in place.
Checking the mudguards and engine clearance with blue-tack. Just to check if the engine fits properly before it's too late.
Engine almost finished wiht air filter box glued.
Hand painting the recesses which will be difficult to reach with an airbrush. Tamiya X-6 gloss orange which is a perfect match to me.
Finished engine.
Finished engine with exhausts connected to the muffler.
Engine mated to the chassis
When the mufflerwas fixed in its proper place in the chassis , I couldn't connect it to the exhausts , so I replaced the "rigid" plastic parts with vinyl tubing.
Some sink marks to be dealed
Checking chassis and body fit.
Done ... heating hoses were added from vinyl tube (white).
Brake pump "tank" made from a plastic tube and a styrene disc.
ARRRGGGG .... front disk lines added ... which now (April 2021) working on a 2CV pic-up found that this is not correct . The engine has inboard disk brakes , which is quite clear in picture 29.
🙁😭(((
🙁😭(((
Completed fuel pump plus tubing. Also hand brake converted from a left-over part of the kit.
I lost one wind-screen wiper ... so I had to scratchbuilt both .... I'm quite pelased with the result
The kit does not include glass for the head lamps ..... Spare box came to rescue
Wind scrren wipers made from scratch. Look the part to me.
Metallic disc to cover the holes for the canvas were made with lead from a wine bottle capsule and Waldron Punch & Die Set ... colour is perfect as is .... 😉
Adding straps for the bonnet ,,, not very true to scale ,,, but made to allow removing of the bonnet .... and putting it back again
Glued 4 pins to help fixing the bonnet in place.
Completed engine bay. All these items were added : brake pump and lines , heating hoses , electric wiring to the head lamps and the battery , exhaust shrouds , "glass" for the head lamps
Finished in December last year ,,,, it was high time that I post the pictures.
I'm still trying to find a suitable speedometer decal
🙁😭((
🙁😭((
Finished .... hummmm ,,, seeing the pictures I notice some missing items ... i.e. wheels air valves , and brake hoses for the rear wheels ,,,,,, front brakes are inboard.

As soon as I saw it in the shop I knew I had to buy it .. and build it asap. In fact it didn't even went to the stash ... went from the shop right to my workbench.
The kit is rather basic in some aspects ... no fuel tank, simplistic fuel filler cap, no clear plastic for the head-lamps .... Nevertheless the engine is quite detailed, but a some tubes and connectors missing. In fact some tubes are on the sprues but not in the instructions ,,, more anon.
Beware, gates to some parts are really tiny and prone to break ... I've just lost one windshield wiper ...

Congratulations. Not an easy kit to deal with. If we wan`t to make it better our imagination is the limit . I did mine a few years ago and I`m still looking for the right side rear view miror.

I also made one, and I think it's a very fun kit.
The orange color seems to go very well 🙂

Yes ... the kit is really fun to build ... no major build troubles ... What's shocking for such a moder kit is all the parts it lacks ..... headlights glass it's just a flagrant missing

Album info
Standard build, with just a few detailing and corrections. Pretty much an OOB job.
As soon as I saw it in the shop I knew I had to buy it .. and build it asap. In fact it didn't even went to the stash ... it went from the shop right to my workbench.
The kit is rather basic in some aspects , all these items are missing :
fuel tank
simplistic fuel filler cap
no clear plastic for the head-lamps
no brake pump
no heating hoses
no speedo
no handbrake lever
no ashtray
no bonnet straps
Nevertheless the engine is quite detailed, but some tubes and connectors are missing. In fact some tubes are on the sprues, which I guess are for the 2CV kit.
I added just a few things to get it right ,but not much more.
I can stand with all that.
