Hi Thomas. How was the build? I started the pink F-22 Raptor a few years ago. It got put on the back burner, but I decided to resurrect it a few weeks ago and finished it off. Have fun with the decals. 🙂

Yeah!😎

I feel an itching to start the Idolmaster F-14, but I have a dozen other ongoing projects, so this has to wait... 🙂

Hi John, I built it with mixed feelings. Usually the fit is good except for the wings and the rear top/bottom fuselage halves. Also the cockpit would in my opinion require more attention but for a Manga kit it will be ok.
It's nice to build a kit without checking references!

I started with the decals - someone on the Web counted them: approx 820 decals including 692 stars in 3 different sizes!

Is there many decals on decals on decals?
9 October 2015, 22:25
Thomas Bischoff
yes - up to three deep if you count the yellow and white areas which are also provided as decals. As I airbrushed these I do not have to go for all 820 decals!

So far.... so good. 👍 Nice that you mix the colors . Have fun with the decals. Not my favorite activity 🙂

Ouch but in my mind you did the right thing by masking and paint the larger areas.

I am done with the decals - after all it was quite fun (please don't call the doctor) as they went on quite well. I let it dry thoroughly and will then apply a final coat of clear gloss.
In the meantime I will prepare the display.

Well done Thomas. Those decals on decals on decals take some working out with the instructions in Japanese. 🙂 Where did you get your Idolmaster figure from?

I thank you all!
John: I googled for days in search of a suitable figure of Ami Futami and ordered it finally from an Ebay shop in Taiwan.

Nice work, but where is the pitot? Did it brake of?

Thank you all!
Well noticed Günter - I built the "aestethically improved version" which means no pitot, no ugly blade antennas - and no weapons. I think this decision improves the looks.
