hi mates,
I came across an issue with my vallejo paints and micro sol liquid
partly the paint came up after applying the micro sol
some of the decals got holes or broke into pieces
the surface had a layer of vallejo gloss varnish
I never had this issue before
does anybody have an idea what has caused this?
any help is welcome

I had this once with a red colour - Vallejo 70947.

Maybe you should use another gloss or in this case ist the decals? I mean, maybe its the mixture of Vallejo, Micro and the Hasegawa decals...

I never had this before - the vallejo gloss varnish is as hard as stone - I always use it with micro without any problem

yesterday I made a test on the other side of the plane using the revell decal soft - and it got more worth
the decals were ticked of and cracked

it seems to be something with the hasegawa decals - but I don´t know how to prevent this in the future

Try Gunze gloss or future/klear, that works quite fine for me in all eventuallitys!

Sorry about your luck with the decals. Did they come in the box?. The markings are from James Goodson's aircraft.
He authored a great book, Tumult in the Clouds. It's one of my favorites. Gary

@ Holger - thank you - I will clean the whole bird and start the painting again - I will try the Gunze gloss

@Gary - the decals were included in the box - my bird was planned as the "Eagleton"
now I have too look which decals are left in my stock

My advice is that you get aftermarket decals for this one. Why that? Well, if this set of decals behaved like this you can count on that the rest of the decals on the sheet will behave likewise. Chances are that you can get "Eagleston" decals from an after market source.
